AGENDA
Chair’s Opening Remarks.
1. APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE.
To receive any apologies for absence.
2. DECLARATION OF INTERESTS
Members of the Parish Council are required to declare any personal or prejudicial interests they may have in any matter which is to be considered at this meeting.
3. PUBLIC FORUM
To resolve to suspend the meeting to allow no more than 15 minutes of public forum.
4. MINUTES
To approve the Minutes of the Parish Council Meeting held on 09 July 2024.
5. PLANNING APPLICATIONS AND ISSUES
a) Applications received:
i. Planning Application Reference: 24/0807/HOUS Proposal: Proposed first floor side extension and alterations Location: Tralin Cottage 30 High Street Leadenham.
Deadline 09/08/24, extension requested to 14/08/24.

a) Lincolnshire Minerals and Waste Local Plan: Preferred approach consultation. Survey starts Tuesday 30 July 2024 and finishes at 5pm on Tuesday 24 September 2024. Let's Talk Lincolnshire. Link on PC website. Circulated to all 02/08/24.
6. REPORTS OF REPRESENTATIVES
To receive reports from the following:
a) District Councillor (DCllr Lucille Hagues, Cllr M Overton). DCllr Hagues reports can be found here

7. HIGHWAYS ISSUES
a) To receive any updates regarding buses and HGVs and to consider any action required.
i. Request for additional signage submitted to LCC Highways, reply received 01/08/24 (circulated to all 08/08/24): There appears to be sufficient signs in place to direct traffic to Leadenham whilst also deterring HGV use but the message on these signs is becoming obscured by the encroachment of foliage. Cutting back has been arranged.
b) To receive any updates regarding the footpath adjacent to the railway bridge and to consider any action required.
8. PARISH CLERK
To consider the Parish Clerk’s Report (to follow).
9. CORRESPONDENCE
To consider correspondence (to follow).
10. FINANCIAL MATTERS
a) To consider the Financial Report (to follow).
11. MEMORIALS
a) Old Memorials – to note any updates to the plan agreed at the meeting of 09/04/24, minute 13a.
b) War Memorial, to receive any updates regarding the War Memorial, NKDC funding and to agree any action.
12. PLAY AREA - SEATING
a) To receive any updates regarding seating within the play area and to agree any action. See notes in clerk’s Report.
13. PLAY AREA REFURBISHMENT
To consider the following:
a. Any updates to the RoSPA report due for completion in August and action recommended by them.
b. Replace part or all of the remaining ‘old’ apparatus, consisting of
i. Wobble board and stepping posts
ii. Climber with activity log
iii. Multiplay with slide,
iv. Rocker, which had been removed in August 2023
following the replacement of Baby and Junior swings (x2 pieces) in September 2023.
c. An application for grant funding to FCC and arrangements for who, when and how this would be done (see Clerk’s report for details of initial requirements).
14. VILLAGE HALL CARPARK
To receive a report submitted by LVH committee and to consider any action required. (report attached and notes in Clerk’s Report).
15. VILLAGE HALL INSURANCE.
This is due for renewal on 14/10/24 and has historically been paid by the PC with no donation received back from the VH. See Clerk’s Report.
16. AGENDA ITEMS FOR NEXT MEETING. To consider any items for inclusion in the next agenda.
