MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE PARISH COUNCIL OF

LEADENHAM

 

Held on TUESDAY 14th April 2026 at 7.00pm at Leadenham Village Hall.

4. Minutes - It was unanimously RESOLVED that Notes of the Meeting of the Parish Council held on 10th March 2026 be approved as a true record and signed as Minutes.

 

5. VILLAGE HALL –

6. RENEWAL/EXTENSION OF LEASE OF SPORTS FIELD

a) Cllr Martyn provided a general update from the Cliff Villages Solar Action Group.

10. Clerk REPORT

Clerk reported that Cllr M Overton had been in touch regarding the footpath on the A607 which is currently been highlighted by Welbourne PC as dangerous due to overgrowth. ACTION: Clerk to write to highways. Also a query from a member of public regarding the ownership of the land between the BOWLS club and tennis courts. ACTION: Councillor M & D Nelstrop to make enquiries. The clerk requested support in the possibility of undertaking the CiCLA qualification, it was RESOLVED to approve.

12. PLAY AREA

Monthly inspection report noted.

 

 

13. VILLAGE WALKABOUT It was RESOLVED to arrange the walkabout for the 8thJune 2026, route to be agreed at next meeting

 

14. CORRESPONDENCE

a) It was resolved to invite the village planters to the APM in May

b) ASB in the area was discussed and it was agreed that using the reporting posters from NKDC and continuing to monitor the situation was sufficient. Residents are reminded to continue to report incidents

 

15. VILLAGE MAINTENANCE

a) Highways issues – ongoing issues with works on both drains and potholes were discussed. ACTION: Clerk to organise meeting with highways and Cllr Overton.

b) Village hall clock repair. Cllr D Nelstrop investigating and contacting companies for quotes

c) Roadside memorial – No further action

d) 30mph signs – It was felt that more prominent signage was required as this was not done after the speed limit was reduced a couple of years ago as motorists still speeding through the village. ACTION: Clerk to contact highways and also enquire about the shared speed indictor

17. Date of Next Meeting. The next meeting is Tuesday 12 May 2026, this meeting will include the APM

 

 

 

There being no further business the Chair ended the meeting at 20:23
