Why Become a Parish Councillor?
As a Parish Councillor, you will have the opportunity to:
- Represent Your Community: Voice the concerns and ideas of residents and contribute to decision-making processes.
- Shape Local Initiatives: Help create and support projects that enhance the quality of life for everyone in the parish.
- Promote Community Engagement: Foster a sense of community by organising events and encouraging participation among residents.
- Collaborate with Local Organisations: Work closely with various groups and stakeholders to ensure our parish thrives.
Key Responsibilities
- Attend regular council meetings and participate in discussions.
- Review and contribute to community plans and budgets.
- Engage with residents to gather feedback and ideas.
- Provide updates about council activities and decisions to the community.
What We’re Looking For
We seek individuals who are:
- Passionate about community service and willing to dedicate their time.
- Good communicators, able to listen to and engage with residents.
- Team players who can work collaboratively with other councillors and organisations
