Why Become a Parish Councillor?

As a Parish Councillor, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Represent Your Community: Voice the concerns and ideas of residents and contribute to decision-making processes.
  • Shape Local Initiatives: Help create and support projects that enhance the quality of life for everyone in the parish.
  • Promote Community Engagement: Foster a sense of community by organising events and encouraging participation among residents.
  • Collaborate with Local Organisations: Work closely with various groups and stakeholders to ensure our parish thrives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Attend regular council meetings and participate in discussions.
  • Review and contribute to community plans and budgets.
  • Engage with residents to gather feedback and ideas.
  • Provide updates about council activities and decisions to the community.

What We’re Looking For

We seek individuals who are:

  • Passionate about community service and willing to dedicate their time.
  • Good communicators, able to listen to and engage with residents.
  • Team players who can work collaboratively with other councillors and organisations
